The ITS Energy & Digital Process Specialist course provides a unique specialization, designed for those who want to play a leading role in the challenges of sustainable energy. Together with them, you will be able to gain direct experience through internships in companies, but above all, you will have access to direct employment at the end of your second year of study.

In addition, you will already have practical experience thanks to the hours of curricular internships in companies that you will have during the two years of study.

  • Manufacturing companies that have embarked on digitization processes, with a view to Industry 4.0 and that operate with robotics, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), automation and process virtualization (Digital Twin), Cloud Manufacturing, industrial analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing), and Augmented Reality technologies.
  • Companies dedicated to the construction of plants that use new technologies to improve energy sustainability (e.g., water purification, electricity and gas distribution, heating and cooling systems, etc.).

Upon completion of the study cycle, direct employment is also envisaged with advanced training and apprenticeships. Admission requirements

To be eligible for the ITS Energy & Digital Process Specialist course, you must meet the following requirements*:

  • Possession of one of the following qualifications:
    • High school diploma (preferably from a technical institute of excellence in Lombardy located near the premises of the corporate partners);
    • Professional diploma obtained after completing a four-year IeFP course and subsequent IFTS certification;
    • For non EU citizens a declaration of the value of the high school diploma issued by the Italian consulate is required.
  •   Residence or domicile in the Lombardy region.
  •   Age not exceeding 35 years.

During the selection process, motivation and aptitude for this course will be assessed, in addition to the following preparatory knowledge for the training course: 

  •  Basic electrical, electronic, and IT knowledge
  •  Good autonomy in the use of PCs, including their most advanced features
  •  Aptitude and interest in technological innovation and sustainability
  •  Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  •  A propensity for teamwork and interpersonal relationships

Course duration

The training program lasts two years. It consists of 1,000 hours of training each year, for a total of 2,000 hours divided as follows:

  • 1,000 hours of classroom and laboratory training
  • 1,000 hours of internship/work experience

Course cost

A contribution of €1,000/year is required for participation in the course for supplementary teaching services. Exemptions are available based on income or merit.
