Course Description

The ITS Packaging Specialist Course trains new technicians in packaging and packaging production. At the end of this path you will become a polyvalent professional, able to follow the entire packaging development process, starting from the initial design up to production.

The course

The course prepares Packaging specialists with knowledge on materials and advanced project management skills.

Each product we touch has a box or packaging. Plastic, metal, wood, PVC, fabrics: there are dozens of materials that give an external shape to the products we see in shops, supermarkets and online stores.

 

The Packaging Specialist is a key figure within this context, which develops around the packaging industry. The Packaging specialist technician works closely with the production manager and the technical managers, and is called upon to supervise, manage and implement the production and technical-commercial processes.

 

It is a fascinating profession that combines creativity with industry and technology, with a constant eye on intelligent packaging techniques to protect the hygiene of the product and the environment.

During the course, you will learn the basics of law, economics and business organization, as well as in-depth notions on operations in Quality, Safety and Environment systems, Project management, organizational behavior and team working.

The goal is to offer versatile and 360 ° training on industrial processes, with technical, economic and legal knowledge, which will lead future Packaging Specialists to become an important resource within companies.

Job opportunities

At the end of the course of study the student will achieve the qualification of Packaging Specialist. It will therefore be able to fit into medium and large companies dealing with the management of packaging with a complete view of the technical, graphic and commercial aspects.

  • Packaging manufacturing companies
  • Packaging converters
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Manufacturing companies with packaging departments (pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic)
  • Labeling companies

Duration of the course

The training course has a duration of 2 years. It is organized into 1,000 hours of training each year, for a total of 2,000 hours divided as follows:

  • 1,200 hours of classroom and laboratory training
  • 800 hours of training / internship

Cost of the course

To participate in the course, a contribution of € 1,000 / year is required for supplementary teaching services (technological equipment, cloud platforms…).

 

There are exemptions based on income or merit.
