Course description
The IFTS course trains AI-enabled System Administrators, operational technicians capable of administering IT systems and infrastructures (servers, networks, cloud, virtualization) using artificial intelligence tools for predictive monitoring, process automation, and proactive security.
You will learn how to manage the daily operation of information systems, ensuring service continuity, implementing IT security policies, and applying machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, resource optimization, and critical issue prevention.
The course stands out for its practical, hands-on approach, with specialized laboratories at two complementary locations that provide cutting-edge technologies for training modern system administrators.

Comprehensive IT training: from infrastructure to security, from cloud to AI, with supporting soft skills
The course trains well-rounded IT professionals: from the basics of networking and infrastructure to operating system management, you will be able to configure reliable networks, administer Windows and Linux environments, and methodically resolve critical issues. You will tackle virtualization and cloud computing to create scalable and repeatable environments, with principles of automation and lifecycle management. Security is cross-cutting: perimeter protection, monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and adherence to key frameworks. Artificial intelligence and AIOps will be introduced to increase productivity, prevent anomalies, and improve log analysis. The profile is completed by storage, backup, and database management to ensure service continuity. At the same time, you will develop key soft skills: teamwork, effective communication, problem solving, time and priority management, adaptability, incident management, and stress management.

Admission requirements
- Foreign nationals residing in Lombardy who hold a qualification equivalent to that specified in Article 10 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of January 25, 2008, may be selected as recipients of IFTS courses of international relevance:
- Upper Secondary Education Diploma;
- Professional Technical Diploma as per Legislative Decree No. 226 of October 17, 2005, Art. 20, paragraph 1, letter c, or European Level III Certificate of Competence obtained in IeFP courses prior to the 2009/2010 academic year;
- admission to the fifth year of high school, pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 226 of October 17, 2005, Art. 2, paragraph 5, or not in possession of a High School Diploma, subject to accreditation of skills acquired in previous education, training, and work courses after completing compulsory education as per the regulation adopted by Decree of the Minister of Education No. 139 of 08/22/2007.
- The validity of the qualification will be verified in accordance with the provisions of Annex A, paragraph “Requirements concerning qualifications obtained abroad,” of DGR XII/342 of May 22, 2023. Interest in IT technologies and innovation
- Logical and problem-solving skills

Course duration
The training course lasts one year. It consists of 1,000 hours of training, divided as follows:
600 hours of theory and practical exercises
400 hours of work experience and internships
Attendance is compulsory for 75% of the total hours. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the participant not being eligible for the certificate issued by the Lombardy Region. Participants will be provided with books and handouts free of charge.
