Course Description

The ITS 3D Simulation & Metaverse Specialist course will provide you with the skills you need to design, develop, and manage immersive experiences in 3D virtual environments and the Metaverse. You will gain in-depth knowledge of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies, as well as 3D modeling and software development techniques.

Thanks to the ITS 3D Simulation & Metaverse Specialist course, you will learn how to design and create immersive virtual worlds with detailed environments, interactive scenarios, and advanced interaction dynamics.

During classes and internships, you will develop all the skills necessary to program advanced features, such as dynamic avatar interaction with the environment or virtual object manipulation.

You will acquire the skills to create high-quality 3D models and objects, both static and animated, contributing to an immersive visual experience. In addition, you will learn how to integrate high-fidelity audio and video elements to ensure a complete multisensory experience.

The course will prepare you to work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with designers, artists, engineers, and other developers to ensure the consistency and quality of the virtual experience. You will learn how to test and optimize your creations, identifying and resolving technical issues to provide an optimal experience for users.

Upon completion of the ITS 3D Simulation & Metaverse Specialist course, you will be qualified to work as a Metaverse Developer, CVO (Chief Virtual Officer), 3D Modeler, Programmer, Designer, AR, VR, and MR Technician, 3D Modeling and IoT Technician, Blockchain Technician, Simulation Technician, and Audio and Video Technician.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for the ITS 3D Simulation & Metaverse Specialist course, you must meet the following requirements*:

 

  •   Possession of one of the following qualifications:

               ○  Italian High school diploma (preferred fields: computer science and       telecommunications, scientific and technological high school)

  • Italian Professional diploma obtained after completing a four-year IeFP course and subsequent IFTS certification;
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Legally recognized by the Italian Consulate/embassy) or qualification obtained at the end of a school curriculum of at least 12 years.

  •   Residence or domicile in the Lombardy region.
  •   Age not exceeding 35 years.

 

During the selection process, motivation and aptitude for this course will be assessed, in addition to the following prerequisite knowledge

  •   Basic computer science
  •   Good autonomy in using a PC, including its more advanced functions
  •   Aptitude and interest in technological innovation and sustainability
  •   Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  •   A propensity for teamwork and interpersonal relationships

 

* Some admission requirements may change depending on regional directives.

Course duration

The training course lasts two years, divided into four semesters. It consists of 1,000 hours of training per year, for a total of 2,000 hours divided as follows:

  •   1,160 hours of classroom and laboratory training

  •   840 hours of internship/work experience

Course cost

A contribution of €1,000/year is required for participation in the course for supplementary

teaching services. Exemptions are available based on income or merit.

A high school diploma is mandatory, but it does not need to be related to a course of study in computer science. A diploma of this type is preferred, but it is not essential for enrollment. Anyone with a high school diploma of any kind can enroll in the course.
